51% of Austin gyms show a perfect 5.0
Link to this chartOn Google almost everyone leaves 5 stars or 1 star, so averages bunch up at the top: 88% of rated Austin gyms sit at 4.5 or higher. A 4.7 and a 4.9 look nearly the same but mean very different shares of unhappy members. That's why we built the FindTheGym Score.

Small gyms look perfect, big gyms don't
Link to this chartThe fewer reviews a gym has, the more likely it shows 5.0. 70% of gyms with 5 to 49 reviews are at a perfect 5.0, against 4% of gyms with 500+, where the median rating is 4.5. A big gym with a 4.5 isn't necessarily worse than a studio with a 5.0 from 12 reviews.
